OUR ENVIRONMENTAL
COMMITMENTS

Our vision: an authentic, self-sufficient, comfortable, and eco-responsible farmhouse.

AN ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

With the support of an architectural firm specializing in bioclimatic design, we have sought to combine the enhancement of ancient heritage, ecology, and modern comfort. Our approach is based on a pragmatic approach to sustainable development, with a long-term commitment.

1. Renovating old buildings

Use of sustainable, local materials: stones reclaimed on-site, certified bio-sourced wood.

2. Building
insulation

  • Roof and wall insulation to complement the interior inertia provided by the old stones.
  • Double-glazed windows with thermal break on all openings.

3. Low footprint heating

  • Pellet stoves in the main rooms.
  • Low-temperature radiators on air/water heat pumps for the lodge Le Grand Caners.
  • Soft-heat radiators for the lodge Le Petit Caners.

4. Low-energy electrical
equipment

  • Energy-efficient appliances.
  • Wood-heated Nordic bath with hybrid electric system.
  • LED lighting and presence detectors outside.

5. Preserving water resources

  • Capture from the historic Mas’ spring, optimized for potabilization via carbon filter and UV lamp.
  • Flow limiters on mixer taps and shower heads, dual-flow mechanism in WCs.
  • Drip irrigation system for optimal use.

6. Wastewater treatment by phyto-purification

  • Natural filtration in plant basins before reintroduction into nature.
  • Autonomous system with no added energy.

7. Biological bathing pond

  • Pure water, treated biologically without
    chemicals.
  • A self-sufficient ecosystem that preserves the environment.

8. Eco-responsible interior design

  • Furniture in recycled teak wood, fixtures in natural fibers.
  • Top-of-the-range, eco-responsible bedding, 75% recycled materials.
  • Linen made from natural fibers (bamboo, wood pulp).

9. Environmentally-friendly practices

  • Waste sorting with Bokashi composter.
  • Eco-labelled welcome and cleaning products.
  • Providing guests with information on eco-friendly practices during their stay.

10. Initiatives to promote biodiversity

  • No phytosanitary products in green spaces.
  • Planting of 200 native, non-invasive species to attract pollinators.
  • The pond, a reservoir of biodiversity, is already visited by salamanders.

PHASE 2 OF THE PROJECT

  • Installation of solar systems to move towards energy self-sufficiency.
  • Installation of a rainwater recovery system.
  • Creation of a permaculture vegetable garden and small-scale beekeeping.
  • Obtaining an environmental label.

Our aim: to preserve nature while enjoying its wonders.
